Jeff graduated from Western Michigan University with his Master of Social Work degree in 1999, and worked in family law in the Friend of the Court as a custody and parenting time evaluator, domestic relations mediator, and family court administrator for nearly 13 years. After that, he worked for 7 years in a private firm specializing in bankruptcy law. Having been immersed in the legal field for most of his career, Jeff decided to pursue his dream — earning his Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University's Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
His clinical training and many years of experience assisting families enduring financial and legal crises have combined to make Jeff a valuable member of the Britt Law Group team.
Jeff brings extensive experience, enthusiasm and empathy to his work addressing stressful family circumstances. His work in the Friend of the Court also provides him a unique perspective in approaching cases involving children. Jeff is a father and coach to his two teenage boys, shares their love of superhero movies, and is active in sports and fitness. He considers it a privilege to assist West Michigan's families in navigating the difficulties that come with divorce and in planning for secure futures.
